From the educational researches point of view, there's certain teaching strategy that enhances the interest of a learner more that other teaching technique. Reflect for a while on your teaching strategy. Do they provide with insightful learning experience? Do they motivate, encourage to like or love Science or the subject that teaching? Why do you do this?
As mentor like you, we believe in the philosophy that "the learner engage effectively from first -hand experience that are really experience that are really genuine, engaging, enjoy the exploration, meaningful, full of challenge and significant, plus a teacher who facilitate the making of knowledge from such experiences.
This innovative approach develops thinking and systematic work skills that are useful for solving daily problems in the part of the teacher and the learner, and at the same time provide rationality in their decisions.
· There are Six (6) tasks that the learner needs to do to insure the level of concept understanding using this teaching technique.
· First is EXPLORE-the learner must expose to the different situations for the first Two to Three days (examples must be related to the topic.
· Second, Engage-Engaging involves the concrete example of the object as performing activities to come up at a concept understanding of the varied phenomena and events.
· Third is Observe- the student must observe what actually happens, describe the experiences in terms of what they see (using the Five (5) senses., as we remember observation is the most fundamental of all Science processes, means gathering information through the use of any one or a combination of the Five (5) basic senses. Further observations are also usually called data or facts after it is gathered.
· Fourth is Predict- The outcome of an event presented, and justify their ability to predict and the level of predictions.
· Fifth is Experience- Manipulation of students natural world alignment of their previous experience to the new one, allow the student to bring to the class their own way of interpreting sense perception and adequate explanations about the things. This ideas serve as the basis for the construction of their own experiences or from previous learning's, or from experiences/practicum that have been handled down.
· Last is Explain- This task give about the details about something, to give an account of something with enough clarity and details to be understood by somebody else. Clarify meaning for something, give reason for something, justify behavior and make self understood.
